Get Involved!

Locally, our members have been active in many ways on the ACA. Some have individually worked for candidates supporting the ACA. Others helped in the "roll out" of the Navigators in Illinois and our area specifically to help our community members who had never been covered by healthcare insurance. Many of us now participate in some way supporting the ACA and the Peoria Healthcare Coalition which is active on Facebook and in community action.

The League of Women Voters of Greater Peoria encourages informed and active participation in government and works to influence public policy through education and advocacy. Any person, 16 or older, male or female, may join.

The LWV is nonpartisan and neither supports nor opposes candidates for elected office but does act on issues after member study and consensus.
